Highly Capable Learners - Puyallup School District
Quest Regional Elementary Program


Students interested in participating in the 3-6 grade Regional Program must have an application on file in order to be tested. Applications for the 2012-2013 school year are being accepted for students who are currently in grades 2-5. Applications should be submitted as soon as possible, but no later than May 15. Testing will occur throughout the spring. Families will be notified, usually by mail, of their testing appointment.

PSD Definition and Vision for Highly Capable

QUEST Regional Elementary Program - Grades 3-6
Highly capable students in grades 3-6 find their unique learning needs addressed in regional classrooms located at one of eight host schools situated throughout the district. Specialized instruction and curriculum are designed to promote higher-level thinking and provide a variety of learning experiences to challenge students. Students gain a deep understanding of content and strengthen basic skills in a full-time, highly capable environment. Intellectual peers provide social interaction and motivation to excel. PAGE - Students are selected by following the identification process for highly capable. Additional information can be found at the SWIFT Website for PAGE.
Honors - Students may self-select Honors courses. Additional information is available through your Junior High counseling office.
