8th and 9th grade students with a

Honor Society. Students who are eligible receive invitation letters in
September to join our club. If students are interested, they must
complete the application during the indicated time - applications are
only accepted during this two-week period in late September. The purpose of Honor Society is to
foster high academic achievement, to develop citizenship, to promote
leadership, and to provide enrichment activities for its members. An
Honor Society Board of Officers will be elected who will run the
quarterly meetings, activities, and fall installation. As part of the
citizenship aspect of Honor Society, members will participate in a
service learning activity to help our school or community in some way.
We will continue this year to explore new ways to contribute to our
community. Additionally, those students that are active members in Honor
Society by attending all meetings and participate in one or more of the
club's service learning activities will be given the opportunity to
participate in an educational field trip.
