Multicare Nurse Camp is a unique experience for high school students who want a first-hand glimpse into the world of nursing and health careers. It will be held July 16 to July 20 and is offered free of charge to selected applicants. Applications are due by Friday, March 2nd, 2012 by 5pm. They are available in the Career Center and online at www.multicare.org/nursecamp2012
Only 100 students will be accepted so you need to act fast.
There will be a Running Start Informational Meeting on Tuesday, March 13th at 6:00pm in the PHS Auditorium. Running Start is open to all juniors and seniors who have a 2.0 GPA or above and pass the community college COMPASS test at qualifying levels. A Pierce College representative will be presenting all information for new students as well as answer any questions about the program and process.
The 2012 FEBRUARY SCHOLARSHIP BULLETIN is now available in Student Services and via the
Puyallup High School website (scholarships tab).

To Our Foreign Exchange students:
Mercer Island High School in Washington is hosting the International Festival 2012 on Thursday, March 15 - Saturday, March 17th and you are invited. The event brings together students of many nationalities and cultures and Mercer Island students for a special weekend. It is a long-standing tradition! During the Festival, your student will be housed by a MIHS family. If you are interested please get the application from Mrs. Baczuk in Student Services.
Seniors Needing Washington State History Course:
Mr. Orton will be offering two Washington State History courses on Saturday, February 25th and March 24th from 9:00 a.m. to noon in the Library. Seniors may choose either one of the sessions to attend. Space is limited and seniors must sign up for the workshop in Student Services. The workshop is free of charge .
Senior Graduation Check :
Have you met with your guidance counselor to review your graduation status? If you have not scheduled an appointment, please do so as soon as possible. You may stop by before or after school or lunch time (except Wednesdays) to make an appointment. Also, seniors applying to four year colleges should also check to see that you have three (3) total credits of social studies and at least 2 years of a foreign language.
Student & Parents ~ Puyallup High School now has Harassment, Intimidation, and Bullying (HIB) Reporting forms available to you in the Main Office, Student Services, Library and Attendance. If necessary these forms can be filled out and turned into your administrator.
