Welcome to PHS!

Message from the Principal:

As we approach the mid-point of the year, it is important that we realize the priority of finishing strong. Students will need continued support from home as they approach semester grades. Urge your student to put in the necessary time so they can achieve academic success, and cement a building block for their future.

Puyallup High School has a variety of clubs and activities that are open to all students. Many of our clubs have received acknowledgment and praise for their outstanding work. In particular, our student newspaper, the Viking Vanguard, was recognized as the top newspaper in the nation last year! Recently, the Vanguard was listed as a finalist in the Crown Awards. The Crown Awards are the highest recognition given by the CSPA to a student print or online medium for overall excellence. A total of 1,558 newspapers, magazines and yearbooks published during the 2008-2009 academic year were eligible for the 2010 Crown Awards program. The Vanguard is the only publication in the state of Washington to receive this prestigious honor.

Great things are happening at Puyallup High School!! Be sure to get involved. Happy New Year!

Jason A. Smith
Principal

The typical party is 2-3 hours with the total number of hours being around 5-6. At some of the parties we need volunteers to dress up as characters and we would let them know in advance. We do have an upcoming audition for anyone who would like to try out to be a princess for the Party Package Program. They can come show off their Disney Princess credentials by dancing like Cinderella, singing like Snow White, or just showing off their pose and princess traits. The audition is scheduled for February 12, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at the Puyallup Activity Center. If they would like more information they can call (253)435-3657.
