UPDATE:
The Varsity Soccer team traveled 600 miles, visited two college campuses, scored three goals, and played in their first State tournament on Tuesday evening at Central Valley High School.
The Jags put pressure on CV early with Luke Munizza's goal off a long throw from Adam Fernando. Unfortunately, with five minutes remaining in the first half the team scored an own-goal which tied the game going in to the halftime period. In the second half the Jags gave up a goal in the 45th minute, only to get one back on a free kick taken by Luke Logan two minutes later. Mac Clarke found the ball and buried it into the back of the net. Central Valley scored again in the 52nd minute but the Jags wouldn't relent. Tyler Himmelberger took a corner kick with just seconds remaining in the match and Luke Logan scored a header to tie the match 3-3. The game eventually went in to a shoot out where the Jags came up a bit short. They ended the season with a 14-3-2 mark, setting a record for most wins and fewest losses in a season.
Water Polo starts their state tournament action TONIGHT at the Rogers Pool.
They will play two games, the first at 3:40pm the second at 7:40pm.
