At Mt. View, we believe the MISSION

| Mt. View's Mission Statement:
We believe that all students can learn and
that each student has value that will be acknowledged by staff, students,
and parents. All students will learn skills to demonstrate academic
competence, tolerance of differences, compassion, and belief in self worth.
Mt. View's Vision Statement:
- Provide a positive learning environment
for all children;
- Provide opportunities for creative and
critical thinkers;
- Provide opportunities in which student
splay an integral part in teaching/learning;
- Provide students with the skills to make
choices and establish values;
- Provide students with the opportunities
to become self-directed learners and to value learning as a lifelong
process.

| Mt. View's Overview:
Mt. View Elementary opened in
the fall of 1962 and was remodeled in 1991. The campus consists of the main
building housing 11 classrooms, office, library, and multipurpose room; a
kindergarten building which also houses one of our 1st grade classes and 3 portable classrooms. The playground has two big toys and a
play shed.
Mt. View has one administrator, 14 full-time classroom teachers, and a team
of educational staff that includes music, physical education, library,
nursing, special education, counseling,
special education/remediation para-educators, classroom and playground
assistances, office personnel, custodial services, transportation, and food
service.

Student Activities & Programs
Student activities and programs at Mt. View are designed to provide
incentive for increase student achievement, to foster school spirit, to
involve students in the school, and to recognize those accomplishments of
which we can be proud.
