The creation of an active learning community of students, staff, and parents working together to ensure that all students are prepared to successfully meet the academic and developmental challenges of each level, while recognizing their unique abilities and needs.

Hilltop Elementary School was opened in 1957 as part of a separate Edgemont School District. The Edgemont School District consolidated with Puyallup School District in 1967. The Puyallup School District celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2005. Hilltop Elementary will be celebrating 50 years of operation in 2007!

Hilltop Elementary is a school of 240 students, 13 teachers, 6 para-educators, 1 full-time custodian,and 1 full-time administrator.
